Your employer or their insurance carrier will provide and direct your treatment, subject to any orders by the North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC).
You may choose or switch your physicians, but you must request permission from the NCIC first. Remember that benefit payments may be conditional on having written permission from your employer, the insurance company, or the NCIC before starting the treatment.
