When do I become eligible for lost wage compensation?

You aren’t eligible for compensation for the first seven days of lost wages unless your disability exceeds 21 days. That means your first payment won’t typically cover days one through seven. However, if your disability continues beyond 21 days, you will be eligible for compensation for those first seven days.

An NC workers’ compensation attorney from our Speaks Law team can explain how lost wage compensation works and evaluate your claim to see whether you are eligible for other benefits.
