Wilmington, North Carolina (August 30,2026) – A motorcyclist was killed following a serious motorcycle crash at the NC 133 and I-140 interchange in Wilmington, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near the NC 133 and I-140 interchange.
According to the Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling north on Castle Hayne Road and entered the intersection with a green traffic signal.
Investigators said a motorcyclist approaching the intersection failed to yield while making a right turn. The motorcycle overturned and was subsequently struck by the SUV.
The motorcyclist was killed at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released.
