Fayetteville, North Carolina (May 20, 2026) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight Saturday after a car left the roadway and struck multiple objects before overturning and hitting a power pole on Sunnyside School Road, according to authorities.

Authorities said the impact caused the power pole to snap and fall onto the vehicle. The driver was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
